August Burns Red The Masonic - San Francisco Concert reviews
Great concert, not a great venue
The bands were great. Loved the concert. The venue was not good. The seats were bolted together in sets of 3, and the 3rd person occupying the set was jumping and rocking and our seats were bouncing around like we were on a carnival ride. It was awful. When we arrived, we were in line out on the street to enter and an attendant came out waving a flag and telling us to pull back out into traffic to go to the next light (2nd entrance). The air conditioner was full blast, everyone complained they were freezing. We both felt ill, chilled to the bone, sore throat. We left early and the 70 degrees outside felt pretty warm, so I'm guessing it was low 60s inside. Cars were zooming past and NO WAY were we going to pull back out after sitting in a line to get in. The arena was very uncomfortable. It also bothered us that all the beer was in aluminum bottles and there were no recycling bins. They all went in the trash. I prefer other venues greatly over this one and will think twice before attending another show here.
